Μ ΑΝΤ ΓΟΡΔΙΑΝΟC ΑΥΓ Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Gordian III to left, holding spear and shield decorated with gorgoneion. Rev. ΝΙΚΑΙΕΩΝ City-goddess seated facing, head to right, holding scepter in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left; to right, Serapis standing front, head to left, crowning city-goddess and holding scepter in his left hand. SNG von Aulock 654. Very rare. A bold and impressive issue. Somewhat rough, otherwise, very fine.
